5 Spooky Myths about All-Natural Skincare

When it comes to all-natural skincare products, there are many myths surrounding them. While certain myths do have a kernel of truth, many are often fabrications that leave us with the wrong impression.

This is why it is necessary to separate fact from fiction. So let’s bust some myths regarding organic skincare products and their usage.

1. The Results Are Slight

Rome wasn’t built in a day, so why would you expect your all-natural product to start working the second you start using it? With organic ingredients, it takes time for the results to show. Without additives or chemicals, all-natural skincare can be slower to work.

Keeping the current condition of your skin and other factors in mind, you should use the product at least two to three weeks before you decide to ditch it. If you’ve been using commercial skincare for years, your body will need that time to detox those old ingredients and get used to the organic ingredients.

2. Organic Content is Questionable

Sometimes the exact amount of organic ingredients can be confusing — not questionable. Depending on how the product is labeled, it can be made with 100% organic ingredients, have just one ingredient listed as organic, or anything in between. Carefully read the label so you know exactly what you’re getting.

While you’re looking at the label of an “organic” or “all-natural” product, watch out for chemicals and lab-made ingredients. Just because something is labeled “organic” doesn’t mean the rest of the ingredients are 100% safe.

At Primal Life Organics, we use as many organic ingredients as possible. Everything is labeled on the ingredients list, so you know what is and isn’t organic. As always, we never use chemicals or harsh ingredients.

3. Natural Means Organic

Another bit of labeling you should pay attention to is the fact that natural and organic don’t always mean the same thing. “Organic” means that the raw material has been ethically grown and sourced in a completely healthy manner. From start to finish, the product hasn’t been in contact with chemicals or additives.

On the other hand, a “natural” product contains natural ingredients such as oils and clays. That doesn’t guarantee that the raw materials for the product were harvested in a clean, ethical manner.

4. All Organic Products are the Same

Since organic products tend to sell better than their cheaper, non-organic counterparts, businesses will simply label their products as “organic” to boost their sales.

Again, be a smart consumer. You have the power to choose which products you put on your body. Read the list of ingredients to make sure the item you choose is safe and chemical-free.

5. DIY is just as good as Organic Products

With the wide array of DIY facial masks, hair care and beauty tips, you might think there is no need to shell out good money on organic products. On the contrary, those organic products have been specially crafted and tested to get real, amazing results.

While your simple DIY mud mask might be effective, organic skincare is specifically crafted with premium ingredients and ingredients that aren’t readily available to the average shopper. At the end of the day, the results you get will speak for themselves.
